Strawberry Corn is a truly exotic maize variety with its cobs, which remind of giant strawberries. It's well suitable for making popcorn. It tastes sweet and the popcorn made from it gets a red basis. This rarity is also very well suitable for grilling.

Sowing and care
Sowing approx. 2-3cm deep directly outdoors from mid-April. The distance between the plants should be approx. 45cm. Plants sown in "block" prosper better than single, unprotected rows. Sometimes, maize is also precultivated indoors, which increases the yield considerably.

Geht so
Die Keim Rate ist eher so mittelmäßig, egal ob in der Voranzucht oder auf dem Acker. Die Kolben sind tatsächlich nur halb so groß wie ein Standard Kolben von Gelben Mais, die Körner auch nur Halb so groß, bei uns brauchten sie recht lange zum trocknen, Popcorn haben wir noch nicht gemacht und auch auf dem Grill ist er nicht gelandet, aber eventuell kommt da noch der Geschmackstest.
