Superfoods - Seed kit gift box

Superfoods are foods that contain more important vitamins, minerals and amino acids than your average vegetable. Even the consumption of small quantities may covers the daily requirement of these substances. The high density of such ingredients, however, not only covers the nutrient requirements of the human body, but generally has a very positive effect on the overall health.

These are not industrially produced artificial products, but actually are tried and tested heirloom fruit and vegetable varieties:

• Curly Kale 'Lark's Tongue' / 'Lerchenzungen' (Brassica oleracea convar. acephala var.sabellica)
A traditional green-leafed curly kale variety from northern Germany which needs exposure to frosts to develop its true kale flavour.
• Maca (Lepidium meyenii)
Maca is an old medicinal plant cultivated by the Inca, also known as ‘Peruvian ginseng’.
• Boxthorn, Goji berry (Lycium barbarum)
‘Goji’ are small red berries, which are high in various vitamins. They are considered a ‘super food’ with the power to revitalize and rejuvenate the body.
• Horseradish tree, Ben oil tree (Moringa oleifera)
A fast-growing, tropical tree, also known as the 'wonder tree' or 'tree of life', as all parts of the plant can be used except for the bark. The leaves and fruits belong to the 'superfoods'.
• Oregano (Origanum vulgare)
Oregano is one of the classic Italian kitchen herbs and its leafs are essential for seasoning pizza and plenty other iconic Mediterranean dishes. It is also an important plant for bees and insects, which feed off its nectar.

The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.

The seed sachets and detailed growing instructions in German and English are packed in a beautiful gift box - a great, sustainable gift for the garden. Any plant lover will be pleased.
