Description
The Aloe Vera, in all probability, originates from the Arab region and is an enormously effective medicinal plant with extraordinarily versatile usage. Its cultivation concentrates on zones with tropical and subtropical climates. There, stem and rootstock reach a diameter of up to 30cm, and the plant forms high upright standing yellow or red inflorescences. When cultivating in a moderate climate, blossom and the formation of seeds are rather unlikely.
The juice from the water reservoirs of the leaves of the Aloe Vera (Aloe gel) is most effective while fresh and applied on the inside and outside (strengthens the immune system, helps with eye maladies, bronchial sufferings, mitigates inflammations and sunburns, helps with acne and insect stings). On top, it's part of numerous shampoos, skin creams, and ointments.
The contained, laxative aloin is sometimes administered against congestion.

Sowing and care
The seeds are scattered on moist cactus soil and pressed on it lightly. Cover it with glass (mini-greenhouse) to maintain the moisture.
Aloe vera seeds usually only germinate after one month or more. To prevent fungal infestation, the irrigation water can be mixed with a little bit of horsetail herb extract (0.4%).
