The flower-of-an-hour is a wild annual mallow from the Mediterranean area with very beautiful flower petals. The name already indicates that the flowers only remain open for a few hours. However, new flowers are formed every day and the flower is a fabulous permanent bloomer for flower pots or flower beds. In the past, this beautiful plant with its exotic-looking flowers was often found in traditional cottage gardens. However, it has fallen somewhat into oblivion and should definitely make its comeback soon! The seed capsules are also optically decorative in autumn. Bladder hibiscus likes to spread via scattered seeds, so that you can expect new specimens in the garden next year.
