The Italian courgette variety 'Genovese' is a very early rich bearing variety. The fruits are light green and slightly striped without ribs, cylindrical in shape and 20-30 cm long. This variety also has a very long flowering period, which makes it ideal for preparing fried courgette flowers, an aromatic delicacy typical of Italian cuisine. Zucchinis are an integral part of the light Mediterranean cuisine. You can fry, simmer and grill them alone as vegetables or use them as an ingredient in soups and stews. Very tasty are also stuffed courgettes or a quiche with courgette stuffing. The fruits have hardly any calories, but are very rich in vitamins.

Beautiful courgette I planted 3 varieties of courgette in 2022, this was easily my favourite and the only one I will grow this year. Stood up to a drought very well, produced a ton of flowers and fruits. The courgette are very beautiful and preserve well as canned ratatouille. Highly recommend.
