Description
Purple Morning Glory originates from Mexico and is used as an indoor plant in trellis and jardinieres. It can be easily grown from seeds and reach a considerable height after only a few weeks. It loves sunny locations and, for that, gifts us with a sea of crimson blossoms.
Good to know: The Sweet Potato (Ipomea Batatas) also belongs to the morning glories but forms edible tubers.
All plant parts are very poisonous. They shouldn't be planted in gardens where toddlers play!

Sowing and care
Morning glory is usually planted outdoors as an annual climbing plant. In the tropics it is perennial and therefore makes a good choice as an indoor plant, which will become woody over the years. Press the seeds into the seed soil and place them in a warm place. Ideal location: Full sun.
