Description
Tulipa Sprengeri is a striking and rare tulip that can be easily grown from seeds. The buds are pointed and slender, and the flowers have a beautiful reddish-brown colour. Since it flowers very late, it is also known as a summer tulip. If it is well established, you can get large tulip fields in your garden.

Sowing and care
Sprenger's tulip is a 60 cm high wild tulip that flowers from May to June. It loves permeable soil and likes to grow on meadows. Seeds normally germinate without any problems after some initial stratification (do not transplant young plants). The bulbs can then be planted in late autumn after the foliage has withered.
