Sowing and care
Perennial shrub. Loves shady locations with humous soil. Forest ground is ideal. Germinates rather slowly. To interrupt dormancy, the seeds need warm, moist soil (approx. 20-22°C) for around 2 months. Therefore, outdoor sowing only in midsummer. When pre-culturing, a subsequent cold stratification at temperatures under 4°C (refrigerator) is necessary. If the seeds don't germinate, they germinate in the next year.
