The European Goldenrod is applied for bladder and kidney problems and can be often found in diuretic teas from the pharmacy. Its anti-inflammatory and flushing characteristics are utilized here.
Apart from that, the European goldenrod is suitable for dyeing. You receive a gold-yellow shade. Its blossoms can be often seen on roadsides in summer and appear as a yellow sea of blossoms. In the near-natural garden, it's a welcomed dash of colour in the summerly/ autumnally shrub bed as it's a great food source for many insects. The inflorescences are very well suitable as a cut flower for colourful late summer bouquets as well as dried.

Sowing and care
Wild perennial. Needs light to germinate. Simply sow on the spot in the garden from the beginning of April to the beginning of June and do not cover with soil. Can also be grown indoors from mid-March. Patience. Germinates spread over several weeks.
