Description
Globo is a great, sweet, medium early, light-skinned onion variety. A rarity from Hungary. The onion variety grows in classic bulb shape and can typically reach about 300 grams, but can reportedly also grow up to 1 kg if sown early in very fertile soil and with proper care. The mild and delicate onion is very suitable for eating raw in salads.
Globo matures in about 24 weeks, which is heralded by its withering leaves. About two weeks after the onion leaves turn yellow, you should harvest the onions, if possible on a dry day.
