Basil Diversity - Seed kit gift box

Basil is often associated with the Italian cuisine but it also acts as a key ingredient in the Middle Eastern-, Indian-, and American cuisine. The range of different basil varieties and their aromas is extensive, for example with some species tasting of hints of lemon and even notes of cinnamon.

For this seed kit we hand selected 3 different basil varieties:

• Lettuce leaf basil (Ocimum basilicum)
  The classic Italian basil variety with large and slightly spicy tasting leafs. The ideal choice for home-made pesto and fresh caprese salad.
• Dwarf bush basil (Ocimum basilicum v. minimum)
  This short-growing, bushy basil variety produces small and delicate leafs with an intensive aroma.
• Purple basil (Ocimum basilicum)
  'Purple basil' is a beautiful basil variety with highly decorative purple leafs.

The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.
