Marigold is a highly significant and beautiful medicinal plant. For many, Calendula is one of the most versatile garden plants at all: not only in use, but also in cultivation. It grows on almost all soils and blooms throughout the summer, and it
sometimes even lasts until the first frost. Their flowers are edible and can be used very well in salads, as well as as a colorful element in herb butter or for thickening soups.

However, Calendula shows its real strength in the medical field: The antiseptic qualities of the flowers are highly appreciated in natural cosmetics and medicine, and there's rarely a healing ointment or tincture that manages to get by without them. The special active ingredient combination of the marigold flowers has an anti-inflammatory effect and accelerates tissue formation on wounds. The blossoms are also prepared as colorful herbal teas.
