in stockMarsh Woundwort as an indigenous wild shrub grows very well on moist soils and forms small, full-valued, and nutritious tubers. Boiled, they taste slightly nutty and can be used well as asparagus. However, dried and ground, the root tubers are also suitable for flour. Apart from that, the marsh woundwort also serves as an old medicinal plant against convulsive aches. Self-medication isn't recommended.

Sowing & cultivation
Sowing in spring. Often germinates irregularly, spread over weeks. Deeper temperatures (below 5-10°C) are advantageous. Marsh Woundwort likes calcareous and nitrogenous soils and its heyday approximately is from July to September. The underground tubers can be harvested in autumn but watch out: They taste good but the plant itself smells unpleasant when it's touched.
