The chili variety 'Serrano' is a classic, Mexican variety that local kitchen can't be imagined without. The medium-hot Serrano chilis are primarily used fresh for salsas. In taste, they perfectly suit Asian and Thai cuisine. The plants grow rather bushy and reach a height of up to 70cm. The fruits are often already harvested in their green, unripe form. As a result, it's possible that green and red chilis can be seen on a plant. These are narrow with a blunt and a pointed end, get approx. 5cm long and have a diameter of approx. 1.5cm.
