The Virginia Mallow reaches up to 3 metres in height and can, therefore, be used well as a visual cover. Furthermore, it's an extraordinarily good food plant for bees. It's a true magnet for various insect species and its white blossoms, thereby, produce up to 120kg of honey. The Virginia mallow is a long-living shrub and can get up to 30 years old. Attempts to realize the plant in biogas plants or thermally like wood pellets bring very good results. It forms a mighty branched root system and is also often used for the reclamation of degraded soils.
