The Common Vetch, also called Narrow-Leaf Vetch, is an indigenous legume and popular food plant that creeps up to a height of up to 80cm. For bees, its purple blossoms are a very good food source. Furthermore, the common vetch is suitable as an extraordinarily good plant for green manure and it enriches the soil with nitrogen. The leaves are also edible for us humans and taste a little bit of peas.
