Oregano fits Italian tomato dishes, lamb, and pizza. In Mexican cuisine, oregano is often used together with cumin, coriander, chili, and garlic. In the kitchen, the aromatic leaves, which can be harvested all year round, are used. In Europa, oregano also has an old tradition as a medicinal plant against digestive problems, chronic bronchitis, and skin problems. Its blossoms are especially rich in sweet nectar. As a result, oregano is an exquisite bee and butterfly plant.
