The wax gourd is an annual climber. After preculture in April, plant the gourds in pots and after hardening off, after the Ice Saints in May. When transplanting, be very careful with the sensitive root ball. After May the seeds can also be sown directly outdoors. Leave about 100 cm of space between the plants. Loves a permeable, nutrient-rich soil, heat and water.
