Indigo Rose is one of the few nearly black tomato varieties that are cultivated in the USA. It was created by the hybridization of black-fruited wild tomatoes. The stain anthocyanin develops itself especially on the sides of the fruits the sun shines on. This stain is very healthy and provides the blue colouring, i.a. of blueberries. The round tomatoes reach a diameter of up to 5 cm. They ripen relatively late and have juicy pulp with a pleasant, mild taste.
