Mitsuba (Cryptotaenia Japonica) originates from Japan, where it is a culinary herb with uses similar to those of parsley - maybe that's why it is also known under the name "Japanese parsley" because the aroma bears little resemblance. Its taste is somewhat reminiscent of green celery with a very distinct additional aroma component. In Japan, the fleshy stems are also eaten as a root vegetable.
