The bush or snap bean 'Pfaelzer Juni' is a German heirloom cultivar going back hundreds of years, and one of the earliest-yielding types of beans there is. After 6 weeks, the first pods are ready to be plucked. It is so fast-growing, you can even sow some in early August as a late crop and with some luck get a nice late harvest in autumn. This robust and high-yielding variety of bean belongs to the casekinfe beans. Their pods are green, stringless, tender, meaty, long and wide. Due to its low growth it is also referred to as a dwarf bean, and is perfect for cultivation on small ground surfaces with little room for climbing, as is the case on the balcony or the terrace.
