Fragrant Garlic is a common inhabitant of Chinese and Japanese herb gardens. This slim, garlic flavoured chives variety can be used like Allium Tuberosum, its close relative which is known as garlic chives. Allium Ramosum (Syn. Odorum) is relatively rare and almost irrelevant as a cultivated plant in Europe. Not only can it be used raw as a spice but it's also suitable for steaming or cooking. The tender seed vessels are also edible and usable in the kitchen. The very vigorous, hardy, and white blooming plant that reaches up to 90cm in height is also suitable as ornamental onion.
