Description
The Japanese Bitter Orange is also called Trifoliate Orange. It's the only citrus variety that tolerates the cold temperatures in Germany as it's hardy down to -20°C. From April to May, its gorgeously scenting, white blossoms are visible. The fruits aren't suitable for consumption as they are inedible. However, as an understock, the orange from China is highly demanded. It's suitable for all those who want to decorate their garden with a hardy orange tree.

Sowing and care
