The reason for this decrease is humankind that destroys the natural landscape more and more. This, on the one hand, happens because the population is increasing and claiming more and more habitat and, on the other hand, by indirect influences on nature due to our lifestyle habits.

Foremost, climate change has to be mentioned. The changes in climate as well as the pollution of air, water, and soil in general increasingly destroy habitats like wet meadows, dry meadows, swamps, and other habitats. There are unbelievable connoisseurs of the art of living in nature who have specialised in such, often difficult, locations and, thereby, staff a very specific niche. If these locations don't exist anymore, they disappear irretrievably forever. The diversity of fauna and flora shrinks. The effects of it on humankind and the earth aren't conceivable.

Common Cowslip (Primula veris)
One of the earliest blooming field flowers of the year. Its blossoms and leaves are edible. The cowslip, however, also is an old medicinal plant.
Aconite (Aconitum napellus)
Beautiful, blue, traditional, old medicinal plant that, however, is very poisonous in all parts.
Marshmallow (Althea officinalis)
Perfectly suitable as a decorative plant in every cottage garden, as a pot plant, decorates herb and flower beds and is a great food plant for bees. Above all, however, marshmallow is a medicinal plant used since antiquity with a mainly mucolytic effect.
Dittany (Dictamnus albus)
Shrub smelling essentially of lemon that grows wildly on steep mountainsides.
Yellow Gentian (Gentiana lutea)
Yellow Gentian is an alpine plant. Its roots can get up to 60 years old and as thick as an arm. Due to its bitters, the dried root is used a an appetizer in booze.
Snake's Head (Fritillaria meleagris)
Protected wild plant with a very special pattern. Loves moist locations.
