Many plant species contain essential oils, saponins and many other ingredients that have curative effects on the human body. The so-called "folk medicine" has been transmitted and developed over thousands of years and uses many of these properties as tea, plant extracts, compresses, wraps and ointments for a variety of diseases.
This seed set contains 12 traditional, long-established varieties of medicinal herbs that no herb garden should be without:

Milfoil yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
An important medicinal plant known since ancient times, which has an expectorant, digestive, wound healing, antispasmodic and antibacterial effect.
Garden angelica (Angelica archangelica)
Impressive, robust, aromatic wild perennial from Scandinavia. An old medicinal plant whose fleshy roots strengthen nerves, relieve cramps and promote digestion.
Marigold (Calendula officinalis)
Uncomplicated, colourful medicinal plant that has an anti-inflammatory effect and promotes wound healing. However, it also has many other excellent qualities.
St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
