The Purple Coneflower is a very beautiful, perennial ornamental plant. It's used medicinally for the stimulation of the immune system. Echinacea Purpurea, however, is a lot easier to cultivate than the Narrowleaf Coneflower. This variety is, therefore, mainly grown commercially and its roots and blossoms are used pharmaceutically.
