The chili variety 'Hungarian Hot Wax' is one of the fastest varieties for our rather cool climate. Mostly, this variety germinates the fastest and is also the first to be harvested.
Hungarian Hot Wax is among the medium-hot chili cultivars with 5,000-10,000 Scoville - but every now and then, you'll have some fruits which are significantly hotter than all the others that have been harvested.

The approximately 20 cm long chilies are impressive and ripen to yellow to red and gain their eponymous waxy, fleshy surface.

Another reason for its name is its country of origin: Hungary.
The variety is used fresh in salads and on rye bread or filled with cream cheese. However, Hungarian Hot Wax is also suitable for pickling in vinegar.

Eine der ertragsreichten Sorten
Haben diese Chili jetzt seit vielen Jahren, egal, wie das Wetter war, diese Sorte hatte immer guten Ertrag und wuchs sehr kräftig. Sie wird groß, also eher für draußen und Töpfe geeignet.

Trotz konstanten 25 Grad Bodentemperatur hat leider nichts gekeimt.
