The tomato variety "pineapple" is an American heirloom beefsteak tomato with a very low acid content and few seeds. The yellowish-orange flesh is quite sweet and fruity. Because of the coloring and its pattern, the flesh probably gave the tomato its
name, since it is somewhat reminiscent of a cut pineapple. The tomato seeds are produced in organic agriculture.

The fruits can be up to 500g heavy, so the plant needs good support to carry them. It is very suitable for growing in a tomato greenhouse.
