The leaves of this south American shrub is sweet and minty in flavour with a hint of aniseed. It can be used for an infusion or alternatively eaten raw in a salad.

Growing instructions
Hardy perennial. The plant prefers well-drained soil and a sunny location. Sow in spring indoor and only just cover the seed. Usually germinates in 1 - 3 months. Prick out the seedlings into individual pots when they are large enough to handle. Plant out in early summer.
