The Golden currant tomato is a selection of wild tomatoes with innumerable small, sweet, aromatic fruits. The size ranges from the size of a currant to the size of a marble.

The fruits grow on long panicles. They also like to climb up on rods, bushes or masonry and can, thereby, reach several meters in length. Cultivated in pots, they can, however, also grow very compact and bushy, especially if the soil is relatively dry. This variety doesn't need to be pinched out.
This variety is quite resistant to diseases like blight.
Appreciated by children, as well as adults, as a snack tomato. I had it in a pot on my terrace this year and could harvest vast amounts of the small fruits until autumn.
