Bush tomatoes
Bush tomato plants include all tomato varieties with a bushy, shrub-like, compact appearance. Often bushy tomato plants grow no higher than 1m but usually develop multiple leading shoots.
Therefore bushy tomatoes are ideal for cultivation in pots on balconies and terraces, as they are less sensitive to strong breezes or heavy weather, in comparison to their cousins the cordon or stake tomato plants.
