Shamanism has a very close relationship with plants and herbs and with nature in general, seeking to bring humans – holistically, with body, mind and soul – into harmony with the cosmos. This happens with the help of a shaman who is able to move between this world and the world beyond, healing disease and communicating with ‘spirit beings’.
