Seeds for delicious and healthy tea herbs

Most of our standard herbal teas are actually herbal medicinal preparations. Peppermint, fennel, chamomile, sage and nettle are some of the most effective European medicinal plants. Making a tea of these herbs is extremely easy and can also be very beneficial. Nearly all the well-known tea herbs are very easy to grow on a windowsill, balcony or patio.

~|||~ There are several reasons for growing your own tea herbs:

• Freshness and quality: If you grow your own tea herbs you can be confident that they’re fresh and of the highest quality. You can harvest the plants at the best time and use them directly for tea, retaining all their flavour and health-giving properties.
• Control over growing and processing: By growing your own you have control over the entire process from choosing the seed through to harvesting and processing. You can ensure that no chemicals or pesticides are used and that the plants grow in optimal conditions.
• Variety and experimentation: When growing your own you can grow wide range of tea herbs that might not be available from retailers. You can try out different varieties and create your own mixtures to make a tea that tastes just the way you want it.
• Sustainability: Growing your own tea herbs reduces the need for imported teas.
